She also earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree from Rutgers University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, and previously worked for many years as a Registered Nurse with patients across the lifespan.

EXPERIENCE MATTERS.

Lori has a wealth of experience helping others with mental health issues at varied levels of care. She has treated children, adolescents, and adults in the outpatient setting, she worked in a community mental health clinic, managing severe mental illness in adults. She has also worked on both pediatric and adult psychiatric hospital inpatient units, and had a posting at St. Peter’s hospital, where she worked with their consult-liaison service, assessing and treating patients in both the emergency departments and hospital floors, who presented with psychiatric symptoms while in the hospital. Most recently, Lori ran a child and adolescent psychiatric partial hospitalization program, where she provided psychiatric stabilization and ongoing treatment, running the gamut from children and adolescents with behavioral problems, some as young as 3 years old, to some of the most complex child and adolescent cases in the state. Currently, she specializes in behavioral and developmental disorders and mood spectrum disorders, occurring in children and adolescents, but also treats some adults on a case-by-case basis.

Lori loves to teach and share her knowledge! She currently teaches future nurses during their psychiatry rotation at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, her alma mater. She also takes on the role of preceptor to masters level nursing students who are training to become Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. Lori enjoys sharing her love of psychiatry and teaching with her patients and their families!

She is a fierce advocate for mental health issues.
